Dr. Anna Choi

Dr. Anna was born and raised in Springfield, Virginia. In 2015, she attended Virginia Commonwealth University, where she obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science with a concentration in Health Science and a minor in Psychology.

It was during her time at university that she discovered her passion for chiropractic care. Dr. Anna’s goal is to enable individuals to achieve holistic healing and lead lives unburdened by the challenges of a stressed nervous system.

Determined to pursue her passion, Dr. Anna enrolled in Life University’s chiropractic program in Marietta, GA. Throughout her time there, she actively participated in numerous adjusting seminars and attained a certification in the Torque Release Technique. Anna’s dedication to chiropractic care extended beyond her studies; she embarked on a week-long mission trip to Haiti, where she adjusted over 100 people daily. Dr. Anna is dedicated to aiding others and helping facilitate a healthy, healing environment for her patients.

Aside from her academic pursuits, Dr. Anna loves running, lifting, hiking and taking solid core classes.

Dr. John Michael Shih

John Michael Shih is a licensed acupuncturist, board-certified acupuncturist, and clinical herbalist issued by The National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in both Virginia and Maryland. He is also a licensed Chinese medical physician in China. He completed a 5 years Bachelor’s program in Chinese Medicine along with 3 years of Master’s degree in Nanjing University of Chinese Medicine which is one of China’s best and pioneer Chinese medicine universities. He spent over 8 years receiving training in acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, and western medicine. He also completed his residency at the Jiangsu Province Hospital and Qinhuai Nanjing District Hospital. Besides clinical practice, he was an adjunct professor at the Virginia University of Oriental Medicine in 2018 and a lecturer at the School of Pharmacy at Management & Science University of Malaysia in 2020.  Over 9 years of clinical practice in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine in both the United States and China, has led him to be exposed to treating a variety of health problems.

He specialized in pain management, mood disorders, seasonal allergies, insomnia, and digestive issues. He also supports a comprehensive approach towards achieving patient-centric, integrating Acupuncture, Herbal Supplement, Cupping, Moxibustion, and Acupressure Techniques to reach optimal health. His goals are to help patients experience a vital and productive life.

John was born in Windham, Connecticut, and raised in Taipei, Taiwan. His diverse cultural background and years of clinical experiences have led him to believe in the beauty of integrated healthcare. The use of a holistic approach by combining western and eastern treatment options can round out those regimens restoring harmony and helping the body’s healing process. He observed people’s struggles with illness and pain and as a result of Chinese Medicine achieved individual health, happiness, balance, and well-being.  These life experiences motivated him to help patients to feel their best, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.  Outside of the clinic, John enjoys photography, traveling, and cooking.
