I’ve been looking for a Black male chiropractor who accepts my insurance for quite some time, so I was excited to find Dr. Rod at PalmerCare Alexandria. I’ve been to three chiropractors, and so far, Dr. Rod is definitely one of the best. He’s incredibly thorough and takes the time to help you understand your body and get to the root cause of the issue instead of just treating the symptoms. He’s also very personable and down-to-earth, which makes every visit comfortable and enjoyable. One thing I really appreciate is that he personally provides the treatment instead of relying heavily on support staff for most of the hands-on work, which I’ve experienced at other offices. He’s also very clear about your treatment plan, goals, and what to expect throughout the process. I’ve only had one actual treatment session (aside from my consultation and X-rays), and I’m already walking better and sleeping better. That’s a great sign. I’m trusting him when he says, “Just follow my advice, and you’ll feel better.” I’m looking forward to continuing treatment and making a full recovery. Dr. Rod Johnson

Dr. Rod Johnson hails from the historic town of Ninety Six, South Carolina, where he stood out both in the classroom and on the football field. As an All-State running back, he earned a spot in the prestigious Shrine Bowl — a battle between the top high school football players from South Carolina and North Carolina.

He continued his journey of discipline and service at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, where he thrived as a student-athlete and sharpened his leadership skills. Driven by a calling to help others heal, Dr. Johnson pursued his chiropractic education at Sherman College of Chiropractic.
