Dr. Peter McGarry, DC
Dr. Pete is originally from Abingdon, MD and is one of six boys in his family. During his youth, Dr. Pete was very active in sports such as basketball and baseball and played baseball at a local junior college in Baltimore.
Dr. Pete graduated from Western Kentucky University with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science. He received his doctor of chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic-Port Orange campus. He is certified through the National Board of Chiropractors in both Virginia and Florida. He is a certified Thompson practitioner and is a certified Activator doctor through Activator methods. He is also Performance Movement Techniques and Fascial Movement Techniques level 1 & 2 through Rocktape. Dr. Pete also has had the privilege of working with the US Air Force Parajumpers at Patrick Air Force base and also providing Chiropractic care to homeless Veterans of Brevard County, FL. Dr. Pete also had the privilege of taking care of people at the Salvation Army and other rehabilitation centers in Voulsia County, FL.
Dr. Pete lives in Centreville with his wife Kelly and daughter Maya. In his spare time, Dr. Pete enjoys spending time with his family, Crossfit and exploring new adventures with his family.
Karine Martimbianco, L.Ac
Karine is an acupuncturist and herbalist certified by the NCCAOM (National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine), licensed in the states of Maryland and Virginia. She received her Master of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine (VUIM).
As part of her clinical training, Karine has successfully treated a number of different conditions, such as musculoskeletal disorders, including sports injuries, arthritis, tendinitis, muscle pain and neuropathies; headaches; facial paralysis; trigeminal neuralgia; women’s health; stress-related illnesses such as anxiety and depression; digestive problems; and fatigue, among others. Prior to that, she completed a master’s program in Naturopathic Medicine at the INNAP (National Institute of Applied Naturopathy) in Brazil. Since then, she has been working with alternative health and making a difference in people’s lives. She works with various techniques and has a different approach depending on the patient’s needs.
She loves to work with health restoration, providing patients with relief from pain and healthy recovery at the same time. Her treatments may include Acupuncture, Gua Sha, Moxibustion, Electroacupuncture, and Herbal Therapy. Karine is a very thoughtful and compassionate person who has found medicine to be her passion, making it her art.
Dr. Jenny Hagemeier
Dr. Jenny Hagemeier was born and raised in Fairfax VA, with dive meets in the summer and dance classes after school.
She is thrilled to be back in the area after graduating from Texas Christian University with a BS in Biology and a minor in communication. She then spent 3 years working for Howard Hughes Medical Institute immersed in neuroscience and microscopy research. After deciding that assisting people on their journey of health was her main passion, Jenny graduated from National University of Health Sciences with her degree in Chiropractic.
Jenny was the Chair of the Applied Kinesiology club during school and continues to pursue her AK studies. She received a certificate for 100 hours of training in acupuncture and has additional education with neuro-emotional technique. In her free time she enjoys hiking, cooking and reading.
